Delivery Driver

Delivery Drivers are responsible for delivering our delicious food to our Guests at home. They are always smiling, dedicate to delivering perfect food, every time, and tailor their service to meet the needs of our Guests. As a team player, they do their part in building a positive work culture, through communication and teamwork with fellow employees. The Delivery Driver will be responsible for ensuring that our most important people, our Guests, have an excellent Boston Pizza experience from start, to delivery of the order.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Performing pre-trip examination of vehicle (all lights working, windows have clear visibility, low tires, etc.)

• Constantly monitoringthe pass throughfor completed delivery orders (only delivering food when it is approved and packaged by the expeditor; assembling delivery food orders for guests if there is no expeditor on shift)

• Delivering orders to guests and taking payments 

• Retaining receipts of delivery costs such as: automobile mileage, fuel costs and any problems encountered

• Stocking and organizing necessary operating supplies needed in the vehicle or delivery operating system

• Handling and maintaining designated cashier float, expectable shortage .05% or less

• Following guidelines and keeping up to date with Boston Pizza standards such as: product knowledge, menu updates, promotions, etc.

• Adhering to Canalta and Boston Pizza operational standards

• Completing daily checklists, weekly cleaning lists, and other operational checklists 

• Cleaning and maintenance of facility and equipment; paying special attention to the cleanliness of the delivery vehicle and pass through 

• Following food safety regulations

• Working as a team with co-workers to achieve k-times, labor, waste, and food costs

• Delighting guests with friendly and caring service

• Handling guests’ special requests and allergies with care

• Acknowledging and assisting with guest concerns with help from supervisors/managers

• Following all Canalta and Boston Pizza policies and procedures including: Confidentiality, Conditions of Employment, Respectful Workplace, Uniforms, etc. 

• Having a positive and professional demeanor while working

• While representing Boston Pizza, abiding by all traffic laws and driver’s license restrictionswhenoperating a vehicle
