What you do:

As a member of the Business Technology team, you will be reporting to the Senior Director, Business Solutions & Architecture. The Data and Solution Architect will be responsible for crafting and deploying innovative solutions that leverage data for strategic advantage. With a 40% focus on data architecture and a 60% emphasis on solution architecture, the candidate will have profound experience in Azure and/or other cloud solution providers, capable of leading our organization through the complexities of modern data challenges while architecting scalable, efficient solutions. In this role, you will be expected to:

• Design and implement holistic data and solution architectures that align with our business goals, emphasizing scalability, security, and efficiency.
• Lead architectural design efforts for a wide range of projects, integrating Azure and/or other cloud solution technologies to meet complex data requirements.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate business needs into technical strategies, ensuring solutions deliver on expectations.
• Drive the adoption of cloud-based data solutions, overseeing the migration and optimization of data processes in Azure and/or other cloud solution environments.
• Develop and enforce best practices for data governance, quality, and security, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and methodologies for continuous improvement of the data architecture and solution design.
• Provide leadership and guidance to cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence in data management and solution development.

Who you are:

• You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field;
• You have a minimum of 7 years of experience in a combined role of data architecture and solution architecture, with significant expertise in Azure;
• You have a strong foundation in cloud computing, data warehousing, ETL processes, and big data technologies, with a deep understanding of data modeling and database design;
• You have expertise in SQL, Python, or Scala, and familiarity with data integration and analytics tools;
• You have excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to address complex challenges through innovative architectural solutions;
• You have strong communication and leadership abilities, with the skill to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and lead project teams towards common goals;
• You have a proven track record of designing and implementing comprehensive data/solution architectures that support business objectives and operational efficiencies;
• You are a team player, good communicator, and are able to work with a diverse cross functional team and deliver on expectations;
• You may have certifications in Azure or other relevant technologies;
• You may have experience with data governance, privacy, and compliance strategies;
• You may have exposure to machine learning, AI, and analytics platforms.
