Deployment Technician - IT (Temporary Contract)

What you do:

As a member of the Business Technology team, the Deployment Technician will report to the Senior Support Manager. You will be responsible for deployment, QA testing, support, and training of BP approved software and technologies for all divisions of Boston Pizza International and the franchised restaurant locations. This position involves project deployment, helpdesk support, and project initiative research and development. This role is for a contract opportunity until approximately December 20, 2024.

In this role, you will be expected to:

  • Responsible for the deployment of software builds and technologies to the restaurant
  • Responsible for support and troubleshooting of restaurant system and application technology issues
  • Responsible for verification of system stability for staged and newly deployed POS technologies through remote support and onsite inspection
  • Document reported problems into ticketing system and follow-up with stores to ensure timely resolution of problems and managed services
  • Communicating and coordinating with restaurants for deployment schedules and installations
  • Coordinating and following up on technical support issues with suppliers and vendors
  • Responsible for project organization, implementation, deployment, and documentation
  • Responsible for investigation and research & development into new technologies and initiatives
  • Responsible for Hardware and Software evaluation and testing
  • Perform other related tasks as may be assigned

Who you are:

  • You have working knowledge of Microsoft Windows (XP, Win7, Win10), Office 365
  • You have networking experience with firewalls and switches
  • You have general knowledge and experience of standard restaurant operations
  • You are proactive with excellent organizational skills, time management and multitasking abilities
  • You are enthusiastic and have strategic approach in dealing with tasks or challenges and exercises professionalism in all aspects
  • You must have strong interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills
  • You have excellent customer service with ability to communicate with technical & non-technical users/clients & employees
  • You are a team player with the ability to work independently
  • You can work a flexible schedule to accommodate the Boston Pizza locations that are across the 6 time zones in North America, ranging anywhere in the 5am PDT to 6pm PDT time slot
  • You have a technical Diploma or a Degree
  • You may have MCSE/MCSA certification
  • You may have experience with point-of-sale systems

The annual base salary for this role is $50,000 - $55,500.
