What you do:

Our Content team is looking for a team player to help bring our brand to life across our social channels. We are looking for a creative storyteller who strives to spark connection and meaningful conversations in the social space. This position will support the Manager, Social Media and Content vision and plans to build the brand across platforms and through different content forms. The role involves assisting in managing our social media accounts – including creation, editing and posting content on various platforms, as well as engaging with the community when it's ripe for conversation. We are looking for someone who stays immersed in trends, is ready to jump into conversations and sees opportunities across an integrated marketing team.

In this role you will be expected to:

  • Work closely with the Manager Marketing, Content and Social Media to assist in developing a content calendar and plan monthly content for all owned social channels: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn and TikTok
  • Immersed in social platforms, your goal is to create high-quality, engaging, relevant content including photos, videos and graphics that boost engagement but also expand our reach within our community
  • Develop, produce, and edit video/reel content to be used on our social platforms and can create storytelling techniques that will keep our audience engaged and showcase our brand online
  • You are equally comfortable in front of and behind the camera
  • Write engaging and on-brand copy that speaks to our audience
  • Schedule posts, stories and video content on all social media platforms
  • Assist with sourcing and managing UGC creators and influencers to produce captivating content
  • Stay attuned to the latest trends, best practices and find innovative ways to sculpt our brand’s image online
  • Jump on in-the-moment trends while remaining authentic to the distinctive voice and personality of our brand
  • Collaborate with internal marketing teams to develop cross-platform content strategies
  • Dive into data and analytics, analyzing content performance and leverage this insight to make data-driven decisions and assist in adjusting our strategy as needed
  • Engage with followers, respond to comments, and address customer inquiries or concerns in a timely and professional manner

Who you are:

  • You have a post-secondary degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or a related field
  • You have 1 - 2 years of progressive experience in social media marketing, content management, and brand management, preferably in the food or hospitality industry
  • You have strong knowledge of all social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok)
  • You are proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.) and social media management tools (Hootsuite, Sprout Social, CapCut etc.)
  • You have photography, videography and editing skills, transforming raw footage into polished content
  • You have knowledge of social media analytics and the ability to interpret data to make informed decisions
  • You are a creative thinker and storyteller who can create diverse styles and formats 
  • You are comfortable in front of and behind the camera
  • You have strong time management, can handle multiple projects and meet deadlines without compromising quality
  • You are a collaborative team player with strong communication skills
  • You have excellent writing skills including grammar, punctuation and creativity
  • You have an endless curiosity as to what motivates and inspires consumers
  • You have a passion for social media, and staying up-to-date with the latest trends and techniques
  • You are passionate about the brand and have a keen interest in food, sports, and the hospitality industry
